to be fair, P, this is LUFC. the Aire's not going to start running with gold [black or otherwise] just because rub-a-dub's gang are now on board. squalor, underachievement, incompetence, shabbiness, these are all incredibly tightly woven into the club's DNA. you'll get your letdowns soon enough, i daresay.

best case IMO is that we get a few blokes who hope that say £10m or so spent on players will establish us as a lower midtable prem club & help to improve their country's profile & image as a place to do business etc despite all the nastiness that happened last year etc & maybe enable them to sell on for a small profit.
