Yes, you can replace players between 11pm and about midday the following day with other squad members. You lose points gained by the outgoing player and you can only sub in players who're yet to play. You can also change your captain and sacrifice the double points you've earn't if you think you can do better.

What?! What?! That's mental. I subbed my Brazilians for my Spaniards after FT last night as I knew that I'd be on a train until kick off today and didn't know if my 3G connection would work reliably. If that's cost me the points Maicon picked up I'll go ballistic...

Yes, it will have done, there's plenty of warnings about it asking you if you really want to do it, highlighting the exact points it'll cost you. Unless you did it before 11pm UK time, in which case it won't have let you do it and you were probably playing with your rnd 2 starting 11.

On paper my team should be decent but i only have 39 points

din't know about changing players could have picked a few more points by subbing out lampard and Carlo Rodrigez!!! Puyol and XAVI to play today should elevate me up the league!!! plus gonna bring in Neuer (Cesar), Friedrich (Rodriguez) and Ethu (Lampard) for round 2!!!

Likewise. Quite enjoying the hands on aspect of this game, even if doesn't feel quite right having Robinho and Villa on the bench with some Serbian no mark in the side.

But only their 1st round teams, obviously thats a fair indication of 2nd round squads, but I for 1 have decided I'm not happy and made 4 transfers, at a cost of 9 points. On the next update I'll be lower mid-table, but hopefully the changes will pay off over the next week.

Can't resist tinkering, but changed it mainly due to having picked Joe Cole and Julio Batista who now don't look likely to play at all (thought Cole was in with a shout afetr he was given no.11, and I really should have checked Brazil's squad numbers seen as they did line up 1-11).

Catch me if you can gents! Kicking myself for taking a punt of Danny Alves starting in midfield for Brazil rather then sticking with Maicon. Had that North Korean lad that scored and all and never even considered bringing him in despite the fact that I could have subbed him out for Xavi yesterday anyway. Rookie errors cost me 13 points......

Still happy with the start, another clean sheet from the Uruguay keeper last night with double points for having him Captain. Anyone got the latest table, can't access it from work....

Had a look at your team last night, it's a bit good. I'm quite pleased just to be in sight of you to be honest.

Pained me picking Vidic and even Ronaldo, have a strict no scum policy on the Premier League one.

There's a question, is picking scum players acceptable when they're playing for their country? :)

I'm assuming everyone agrees it's not to be done when playing the Premier League one.....

i'm doing both the metro and fifa ones, both in quite a confused and unsuccessful manner... not really getting to grips with subs, transfers, etc.

not unhappy with midtable generally speaking.

Trying to pull a big tender together at the moment and the fantasy football malarky is very distracting!

Messi playing well in the Korea game made him captain so should get me plenty of points could do with a goal from the little fella!

I'm starting to regret that rash transfer of higuain for podolski to try and rectify the mistake in doing the revers at last minute, he's still looking crap but higuain has fucking scored now!!

Podolski had better out score Higuain by at least 3 points when germany play tomorrow.

And I've ashamedly picked a few scummers, Evra and Ronaldo - its not even earnt enough points to mask the guilt so far, I even dropped ronaldo hoping figuroa would get more points! (which he did, just).

He looked shit the other day, and today until the keeper made a mistake for his 1st, looked better after that, the second was clear offside.... ah fuck it, I give up, serves me right for tinkering!! He's scored 19 points apparently, messi, my captain, only 7 so far.
