Yes. But check that the model of things hasn't become obsolete. If it's only got 512 MB of RAM then I'm guessing it's a pretty old machine. The RAM will be cheap enough but if the rest of it has the capability of an abacus then it might be time to get a new machine.

Whats your full model of machine and please god don't tell me you are running Vista?

If you can double up then running XP would be OK but really you should be on 2GB with any OS nowadays. Once you get the security updates etc. on it starts running like a dog again.

let me know

But you can't get anything disributed by universal.

Blockbuster, £9.99 a month, 2 disks at any one time, turn around is pretty decent and they've done a much better job than love film did at sending me things from the top end of my list.

Any of you cunts use Talk Talk for an ISP?

They've just enabled LLU on our exchange, and they're the only ones that have. So, we're considering switching to a bundle deal (orange ISP and BT phone at the moment), saving about £20 a month with a 50% increase in estimated speed. Unlimited downloads and any-time calls are really what we need.

I've read some shocking reviews about Talk Talk, but most of it seems to be around support/customer service rather than line quality and speeds, so I thought I'd canvas you fuckers.....

yeah i use them. the last mile of network is obviously supplied by BT so no issue there. and i'm sure that one core network's much like another.

the customer service is ropy. their call centres [the regular customer ones about billing enquiries or whatnot, their technical people all seem very credible] are all indian & are some of the worst i've encountered. very frustrating conversations when you call them. occasionally something odd will happen like your opt-out of paper billing will be forgotten about, or they'll for no reason send you a new wireless routers...

but to be honest i think they're value on balance. loads cheaper than BT. when you think how infrequently you'll need to use their customer services, hardly ever, the saving is worth it IMO.

I had to call Talk Talk for work the other day and was on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up. And this was the business arm I was dealing with. Dread to think what the riff raff consumers have to put up with.
