I've said it before, but having no/little money to spend doesn't mean you have to pack a squad full of utter fucking shite. Grayson has to take his share of the blame for that.

I'm never glad when we lose, but with this loss I'm really not bothered.
Redders was given 3 games after Bristol to "prove himself". He's managed to lose both of them, one at home & the other away to the bottom team. That is shit whichever way you look at it.
I suspect Bates, in his propaganda broadcast will point to the fact that both the deciding goals came at the end of the matches. He'll also come out with some shite about it being a decent performance against Brighton (totally disregarding tonight's match). This will enable him to proudly declare that Redders has got the managers job full time until at least the end of the season, thus meaning he saves on paying money to someone who can actually do the job.

Some of the shite (Paynter et al) is undoubtedly clogging up the squad but it wasn't Grayson's responsibility to get them moved on once he'd decided they weren't good enough. And the fault for that lies with Williams and Harvey. The squad is a symptom of the club's recruitment policy, not Grayson's failings.

You're right, that is exactly what has happened. Doesn't mean that was the only option available to Grayson. Other clubs can operate on a similar budget and achieve the same position that we will reach without a bloated 25-30 man squad and a dozen new players a year
