What a facile contribution to the debate, EEPW.

Go away and watch some clips of Darfur before you come on here again spouting such infantile nonsense.

The Chinese are an interesting race. They seem to have an inferiority and superiority complex at one and the same time. I can't decide which one is masking the other.
They are spending a fortune on the games and if there is any kind of boycott they could easily go off the deep end. Generally (very generally) speaking the Chinese keep their emotions under wraps until something snaps and they go fucking beserk.
My biggest concern right now is whether they can do anything about the horrendous pollution, I have my doubts but if not it could fuck up the games.

The Chinese fire up a brand new fossil fuel burning power station every 10 days and the green tree hugging thought police over here want to ban gas heaters that have been erected outside our pubs/clubs for the smokers and queuing public. The price of flights to Leeds has rocketed in the past year because of heavy government, so called green taxes.

Yeah I've seen the Bruce Lee films. Beserk at the flick of a switch. Pow!

And don't you think it's just a bit facile to refer to them as the 'Chinky' Olympics just for the sake of it? I think that was what EEPW was hinting at in his seemingly facile reply.

Yeah Phil, show some fucking respect. You went for 'chinky' when, with a bit of effort you could have come up with something better.

Missing Link Olympics.
Slitty Eye Land Olympics.
Commilingus Olympics.

And I think their women folks fanny's are horizontal.

After living over here for 15 years I've gathered a fair comparison with life back in blighty or 'the West'.
It's amazing how a full-blown slanging match can erupt and continue for ages in the middle of the street without a blow being dealt by either side. You would think it would be impossible to contain yourself. On the other hand there are common reports on the TV of seemingly quiet people snapping under pressure and butchering their entire family with a meat cleaver!
In 1989 the government tried to think of a way to 'talk down' the students without 'causing a scene' but in the end they could see that the students were creating a moral victory and the government would lose face. The 'old guard' snapped at such a prospect and sent in the tanks. Around 2,000 people died as a result. They still refuse to accept that they did anything wrong.
