not quite right but how about maybe a bit like tennis balls with 'BATES OUT' written on them in big thick black letters?

throw a few onto the pitch every now and then?

or might that be [very slightly] dangerous? i think it's important that the trust stays whiter than white, that it retains the moral high ground. no thuggery.
