To be fair, why would he sign for Leeds? More money, chance of Premiership football, he would have been crackers to sign for us back then, no?

He'd be fucking crackers to sign for us now to be honest.

Hasn't played a game since August though, suppose it'd be like us to try save him off the scrap heap.

For some reason it really pisses me off that Delph is still listed in the squad on the OS, a' mean, who do the fuck do they think they're kidding? Of the players listed nine are no longer at the club, but they are all fairly recent changes, so I can put that down the laziness. But why the fuck is Delph stlll there?

Yeah, not against him getting a chance with us, just kind of think he may get better offers elsewhere.

Think our strikers are the least of our worries (Compared to Midfield/defence) so would think if we did get another striker it maybe a smaller name, someone in the lower divisions that's been doing quite well? (Ignoring what happened with Paynter  )

there was just me and Gary Kelly
if you take away the ones that have left and the fuckers that will probably not be featured in Colins plans for next season then there is not enough for a five a side training session at the moment.

i think realistically we need at least six more to come in, should be interesting watching all the movement pre-season.
every fuckers on there now so here goes....

Call me an ignorant twat but I only ever remember Shittu for getting absolutely rinsed by Deano in the 6-1 game

Shittu is big and strong and experienced at this level but his mobility isn't what it was [and it was never fantastic]. Could be a good ol' head to have around to look after Lees/Pearce though, when one is either unfit or needs a break. He'll be free, so I suppose it's down to Colin's estimate of how much he can still do. Would be a one-season-only thing though.

It's Sinita isn't it. One of Cowells beards...

I saw Sinita live at a Teen Saturday afternoon disco upstairs at the Merrion Centre (can't remember the name of the club now). She did a costume change live on stage....fucking ace for those stood at the sides. Must have been about '86/'87??

Oh the of little faith :)

Warnock in the YEP wrote:Neil Warnock admits he will be ‘disappointed’ if Leeds United can’t complete a double transfer swoop this week.

The United boss is attempting to wrap up the signing of Portsmouth right-back Joel Ward in the wake of strong rival interest from Ipswich and Burnley, with all three reportedly having had bids accepted.

While United are in the box seat to sign Ward, 22, after recently holding talks, Portsmouth adminstrator Trevor Birch has said it’s by no means a “foregone conclusion” that he will head north and join close pal Jason Pearce at Elland Road, according to sources on the south coast.

The transfer of Ward is expected to go through shortly for a fee not far short of the £500,000 United paid Pompey for Pearce, with Leeds pitted in a three-way fight to land him.

Versatile Pompey star Greg Halford has also been linked with a move to Elland Road, along with Fratton Park team-mates Luke Varney and David Norris, a Leeds target last summer.

United have also showed an interest in Derby County’s Pontefract-born midfielder Paul Green, keen to resolve his future this week after rejecting a new contract at Pride Park.

Warnock said: “I’ll be glad this week if we get a couple of lads in. If we haven’t, I’ll be disappointed if I’m honest.

“I go away on the 25th and I want to try and get two or three in by then, if I can.

“There’s loads of speculation, but fortunately two or three of my targets haven’t been mentioned yet. I’d like to keep them all under wraps, ideally.

“I’ve spoken to quite a lot of agents over the last seven days. It’s just a matter of trying to seal deals really.”

While Ward is firmly on United’s radar, Halford has also emerged as a target, with Nottingham Forest and Birmingham also keen.

We really are after pompeys bones if all these stories are true aren't we. Might work if we can keep Snods I suppose, but we won't will we ...

So we are going to have half the defence of a relegated team from last season? Great.
