Holidays done. Back in work full time today & can't wait. Things are starting to pick up now. First stop of the day.......Leeds.

Sorry - who does he handle we're interested in?
Jordan Rhodes? Zak Whitbread?

From Wiki, so pinch of salt:

"In September 2009 Morrison joined James Grant Sports Management part of the James Grant Group which represents players such as Jordan Rhodes, John O'Shea, Jack Rodwell, Ali Al Habsi, Clint Dempsey, Ryan Nelson, Ishmael Miller, Cameron Stewart, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Zak Whitbread and brothers Craig & Gary Gardner."

I'd have Whitbread, maybe Miller. I reckon Dempsey fancies a new challenge.

Does that mean you wouldn't take Rodwell or Rhodes????

As Bates will tell you, he's just getting his P45 for the Jobcentre.

apart from Ward, have we even been linked with any right backs? Right back and centre mid got to be the biggest of all the gaping holes in the squad.

Good point. £400k though, money doesn't grow on trees.

Well, no, and being linked doesn't necessarily mean we're interested, but I think its fair to say we're still in the market for a right back.

I'd hope we're saving what money we have (yeah right) for a good quality central midfielder and pacey winger, hopefully spending enough to grab Snoddy's attention in the process.

Forgot about pace when thinking about our numerous deficiencies. Assuming White doesn't re-sign we really don't have any pace whatsoever (apart from 33 year old wonderkid Adam Drury). The quick break was an important part of what made Grayson's side so exciting to watch, i guess we played so narrow under Colin at the backend of last season that we had no outlet for pace anyway. So now my gaping hole list reads right back, centre mid, any kind of pace. Squad looking good!

I'm pretty sure I heard Radio Leeds talking to someone at TA about a player called Edu the other day, and there's one on that list!

When everything went tits up at Rangers, the players negotiated potential release clauses. Edu's is £300k, which is cheap for him. I'm not sure if they still stand after what happened with the transfer of assets to the new company, and he might actually be on a free transfer now. Either way, he'd be a good signing for us. He cost £2m in 2008. Strong, athletic defensive midfielder and is just reaching his peak age. Think he could be on decent wages though so could be a sticking point.

I know that at some point recently, Waccoe was getting all excited about Freddy Adu.

I am a little pissed off with all the Paddy Kenny talk.

It's not that I am a fan of Judas Lonergan, but can't we get anyone better, or younger, with more potential, but good enough now to get us promoted?

If no Premier clubs have put an offer in, why are we not after a goalkeeper like Jack Butland who Birmingham loaned out for most of the season, but Hodgson thought good enough to take to the Euro's?

Please Colin Wanker, do not turn Leeds United into QPR/Blunts Reserves.
You're the one for me, Batty.
