Oh fuck off, really...

Try this experiment (assumes a fine woman like you is wed): go out, pick up some random fella, and fuck his brains out on the marital doorstep, ringing the doorbell with the back of your head. Wear a pair of NHS specs.

When hubby opens the door, does he think it's someone else?

Fucking ridiculous aryan septic wank :elephant:

How huge/violent is he? If he's just going to weep quietly I'm in.

He's tall but not prone to violent fits, unless provoked by folk on a stupid internet forum, but as long as you're quiet...

Quiet? I think you are perverting the purpose of the experiment. I refuse to collaborate under these circumstances. Deal's off (and Superman is still shite).

And Eric watched it (at least for a while).

Seen to remember Caine saying about the third that it was a nice big chunk off his mortgage and a few weeks in the sun... What an artiste.

Seems fair enough to me. As long as you use some of the money you make from the stupid films to allow you to make more interesting less-well-paid films too. He'd be daft not to take the easy money, and wouldn't he?

Remind me of his...

You're otherwise bang on, as on the superman issue.

yeah it was a proper shitfest. Ghastly storyline. The shark follows them from the hamptons or wherever it is they live near NY all the way to the caribbean, in the space of a few days. according to wiki the budget was $20m. I'd guess that broke down along the lines of $18m spent acquiring franchise rights, $1m on caine's pay packet, $50 on scriptwriters, $500 on a large rubber shark, $500k on boat hire, and the rest on other wages and expenses.

Batman? ;)

No, ok, actually he's a bad example. The best defence I can muster is Hannah & Her Sisters just a year before Jaws 4 but i doubt that fitted the low-budget mould anyway.

Watched Bad Teacher last night with the missus. Diaz starting to look old.....perhaps that's just the curse of Blu-ray

Not bad I suppose, but not great by any means

Diaz has always said she wouldn't have any surgery and just get old how nature intended. Suppose it's kind of a refreshing perspective nowadays. Your right she is ageing a bit now mind, but would I ? Of course I fucking would :thumbl:

Young Adult - very interesting take on a mid life crisis (well a crisis of a "successful" woman moved to the big city and wanting her old boy friend back) when a woman receives notification of the birth of her ex-boyfriends first child. She heads back to the "hick" town intent on getting him back and only succeeds in making a right twat of herself with one particularly cringe worthy scene in front of most of her old friends. Worth seeing IMO.
Fuck off to the football league

Very, very disappointing. One of my fave novels and the BBC adaptation back in da day was superb.
I reckon if you hadn't read the book you wouldn't have a fuckin clue what was going on. Some good performances by Oldman, Hurt and Firth but the direction was soooo slow .
4/10.

Interesting. I thought it was fantastic, and I thought the slow, suffocating pace accentuated the paranoid feel, but having not read the source or seen any other adaptation, I have no reference.

I saw this recently, the missus abandoned it half way through and I actually thought it'd be exactly her sort of thing. I would probably say I only half followed it, got to the end without really knowing a great deal other than who the mole turned out to be.

Not something I'll watch again, but I found it watchable, but not exactly gripping.

rented it recently.

i pretty much hated it.

was [having never read books or seen mini-series & not knowing anything about the general premise] finding it a bit difficult to follow, with all the dozens of different characters with different names & very dense plot, but following it i was, just about, & was enjoying it to a degree, some good performances, a nice look/feel to it but then there was this bit were benedict cumberbatch's character had to find some stuff in this kind of library thing, whilst quite a few unintroduced new characters did quite a few confusing small things, eventually he went back to his office or whatever and started going really mental at some other bloke for reasons that the story & character development to date didn't seem to explain at all, at this point i gave up completely and only watched bits of the rest.

cast and certain aspects of it made me appreciate that it wasn't at all rubbish, but very deeply flawed IMO.

overall 5/10.
