It was very Leeds-esque how they fucked up today to get relegated. 3-2 up into injury time and end up losing

Good call, the warchest will shrink accordingly.
The crooked owd cunt has been at it already, just read his latest interview on waccoe, "it will be hard this summer due to agents taking extended holidays because of the olympics" and we are already going to get less revenue than this season it will be like losing the money from 2 home games. Ijust wish him dead, it's unlike me that but just fucking die please.

Once again I'll have to agree with you mate. I hate it when we win sometimes, purely because bates will use it as an excuse to paper over the cracks.

KB: Well I’ve always tried to do that but it’s very, very difficult in this division. Added to the fact that May, June, July… it’s a three-and-a-half month close season. And we’ve got the Olympics and we’ve got the Paralympics. You say so what’s that going to do then… well the answer is that a lot of players, managers and agents will be away at different times. So, for example, you want to speak to a player, his agent’s on holiday. You like to buy a player, but the manager’s on holiday. And so it goes on. Here at Leeds we always try and get a full complement of staff at all times to deal with whatever opportunity comes up. It takes two to tango. It’s very difficult. The other problem is that early in the close season or this transfer window if you like, agents have unrealistic ideas of what their players are worth and think “I’ll hang on and a better offer will come along”. So if you buy too early you could be in danger of overpaying both for the player and the wages. Believe me, when the fans say flash the cash and where’s it all gone, we have flashed the cash. In fact I was doing a check yesterday and including transfer fees, plus agents fees, plus VAT and so and so, this year we would have spent £13.5m all in on playing staff. Also, looking forward, the central distribution from the league go down but £650,000 this year. That’s the equivalent to two home games. Of course, we got rid of Simon Grayson and we agreed with him and his sidekicks a compromise agreement. It still has to be paid for. All these things mount up. And of course we’ve frozen our season tickets, despite the fact the rent has gone up by three per cent. So it’s a balancing act all the time. The answer is yes, we continue to look for addition investment, for partners to come into Leeds United but believe me, when you read a multi-millionaire Russian is only putting half of his £25m into Reading up front and the other half follows some other time, it makes you realise even multi-millionaires are feeling the pinch. And is he a multi-millionaire at all? We don’t know. But I can assure you the fans, not for want of trying, but there’s an awful lot of conmen out there, there’s an awful lot of mythical millions.

Paynter sounds like he could have had five or six, given the chances. Hopefully that was enough to get him in the shop window and off the wage-bill.

Not many things can make me angry this late in the game but all the people talking about how good Paynter is or even thinking that he should be considered serious competition for Becchio are making my blood boil. Pathetic.
