I feel sorry for Billy.
He can't surely be so thick as to not know the fans are taking the piss, but he keeps on trying despite him being totally out of his depth in this league.

I hope he plays in the remaining games of the season, scores goals aplenty, and gets snapped up by some other club in the summer.

I suspect Colin might be forced to take a massive punt on Billy in his shit or bust season. May God have mercy on us one and all :(

I also feel a bit sorry for Billy. His effort was excellent yesterday, even though he handballed before his first goal I was pleased to see him score and was genuniely happy for him, it does of course, as has been mentioned, present us with a bit of a problem......

He is going to remain, mark my words, we are just gonna have to swallow it and hope for the best.

Why the fuck did I renew my ST? Jesus H......

Well done to barn-door. He scored goals for us - so good on him.
No one got booked, let-alone sent off, so well done to Colin for easing back on the Rash Rash!

That said - we won at home to a team well below us, so we got the result we would have expected no matter who is boss. Just not the result we expected given our form since Xmas.
I assume barn-door is now gauranteed a couple of starts and that we will be aiming for a couple of creditable away draws, as befits our recent lower standing away to play-off hopefuls.

Hopefully two more starts will be plenty for Barndoor to revert to type, shanking 6 yarders off to the corner flag and clinching his exit.

If he is part of our first team in August can we get him a boot deal from clownshoes inc?
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Barndoor isn't winning the IQ race:
“The supporters sing my name and when you hear that, it gets you going. You think ‘hang on, they’re really supporting me here.’

“That’s giving me massive, massive confidence and every time I go out I try and do it for them. On a personal note, I feel I’ve given the manager something to think about.”

To be fair to Billy Boy, he genuinely did play well on Saturday. I was so surprised that he looked to have a decent touch, he even went past a couple of the Posh defenders at one point.

My gut feel is he's not good enough, given the last 2 years of shite he's shown us, but that said, he was injured when he arrived and never had a proper pre-season. Then to come in halfway through is quite tough... played shite and had no confidence.

Wasn't it about this stage of last season McCormack bagged his first few goals? A bit of confidence seemed to do the trick for him and he's our top scorer this season. I'd like to see Billy get a few starts in over the next few weeks and just see. This is not a defence of him and his playing abilities, and if it's a choice between keeping him or most of our other players I'd get rid, but I would like to see him have a chance now.

It's better like that, if the poor bastard really knew what everyone thought he would probably slit his wrists.

I was also surprised by this. It's to be expected that if a striker plays enough minutes he will eventually score, but his overall game looked good. If it had been his debut I'd be excited. As it is, I'm expecting it was a one off - that moment of the day when you glance at the stopped clock and it's telling the right time.

Yeah, scored 2, got an assist via a flick on (I think) and started the best move of the match with the 2nd of 2 powerful headers out of defense (the first one having come straight back)... MoM display. In addition to Chubby's comments, I think its worth noting that they were about the worst side to visit ER this season, I don't remember anyone worse?

Lets see how he does at Blackpool/Cardiff.

I'm sure Billy does know that the chants have developed a sarcastic edge but he's hardly going to come out and say it. It's best for everyone if he pretends otherwise. If he, as suggested above, "does a McCormack", might Come On Billy even become next season's equivalent of Danny Mills Is Fucking Brilliant?
