Fuck off, its got an entrance hall with cupboards.

I didn't necessarily mean bad value.

just a lot of money. Same ballpark as TA if we'd exercised the buy back option.

No tax though....

Ben Fry: Well, Mr Chairman, Neil Warnock has cleared his desk and said goodbye to the club, what are the fans to think of this?
Mr Chairman: Well Ben, I'm very glad you asked me that. Quite frankly he wasn't up to the job. We brought him in to improve on the previous manager's performance and ... well... we all saw what happened. Only two wins for the rest of the season... not good enough frankly. He inherited a squad that was pushing for a top 6 spot and very nearly got us relegated. He asked me for a lot of money to spend on players, and with his track record I couldn't see how it would be justified.
BF: So, now we have Neil Redfern back in the manager's office, you must be very excited.
Mr.C: Yes Ben. If you look at the records of the last managers we've had at the club you see that his record is 50%, historically one of our best managers. On top of that he knows the importance of bringing through young lads. You can spend all the money you like but it doesn't guarantee anything, youth is the future as I'm sure all truer Leeds fans will agree. Just look at Barcelona, European champions yet again, and most of their players came through the youth set up. Fantastic..That's what we're aiming at, not spending silly money on players and agents. The fans have to work hard for their money, well, so do the players, no more of players earning more in a week than most fans do in a year.
BF: ...and work starts next week on refurbishing the Centenary Pavilion, great news.
Mr C. Indeed, Ben. We're all very excited. If you want to have the best you have to invest, not be frightened of spending money. I'm confident that the money we're investing in the new catering facilities ...............

Quality fella

Think we might "fast forward" even further

Lucifer So Mr Bates, how did you end up down here old chap?
KB Er.. I don't know O Horned one. I have always tried to rip off as many peole as possible, and make sheds load of green paper whilst systematically lying to everyone who was prepared to watch my lips move (just the wife and the cat at the end) What more could I have done?
L Er...right,.. ya dribbly faced t-wat. Not sure you understand this post death directional thing, old son. Have ya ever done owt er... welll... decent like?
KB Christ No!! Who has said I did? I will sue the arse off em! Shaun! Shaun! Get me my lawyer. He's doing a 10 stretch in Strangeways!
b]L[/b] Stop shouting you old fool! Harvey ain't down ere yet!.[ But that's his reserved chairin the corner - next to Lorimer's. You can wait for em over there - whilst you have a chat with Pol Pot and Maxwell!

Of course, the problem is, none of this is remotely amusing any more. That interview with the invertebrate muppet could have been extracted at any stage over the last five years. It is singularly predictable - and one of those records that famously "get on yer nerves!". It is very difficult to add anyhting salient to the excellent and wholly accurate contributions above - other than to re-affirm the fact that we will never return to even a reflection of our former glory whilst ever this embarrassing, beligerent, self-aggrandising bufoon is incumbent as chairman.

Oh, the early renewal rate of £40? Why thank you!

Any guesses at what the full price will be for next season then? £50?

Fucking scandalous.

A couple or three weeks ago I nearly blinked first on the Extra Time Membership, just out of the fear of missing a Wembley P/O final, however remote the possibility. One benefit of Colin's uselessness is that I get to reiterate 'Fuck Off Bates' without the slightest fear of missing out now.

Dunno. I think maybe £45 ... Fifty notes for Membership would be taking the piss.

The membership scheme is one of my biggest gripes as it is basically a tax on the most loyal Leeds fans. When I did research on season ticket prices last year, I also did memberships but it never got published. I've attached it for anyone who wants to see it. Basically, our memberships are the most expensive in the country and the least value for money. Many clubs include discounts on tickets but a lot of clubs don't even have membership schemes. Dread to think how much we'll charge next season.

Aye, it's an absolute racket. But it's the only way to get away tickets so I'll be stumping up again... :(

I have begrudgingly bought a membership for me and my Dad for next season, just on the basis we like to go to away games, which I believe is the only reason you would get one.

So I have put £80 into Uncle Ken's hand, though that is better than the £1032 we would have given him had we renewed our season tickets.

To stay positive that £952 less gone to the old cunt and that's how I am looking at it.

One way of looking at the £40 Membership is that you could probably make that back in discounts at the club shop.

Used my ST to get a discount on some club shop tat the other day. Was told that I don't get a discount on the kids gk shirt because it's already on sale, but they did give me 10p off the matchday programme. Slightly miffed as I would have thought that a members/st holders discount is what it is, regardless of whether an item is on sale because it will be changing soon or not. They were giving away fucking free shirts to kids who had bought full price tickets for god sake. Amazing that a lot of these schemes haven't featured on something like watchdog. There are a lot of outwardly similar scams that do end up being featured on that kind of consumer affairs programme.

Also wonder how many clubs charge a £1 booking fee per ticket for away matches too. Genuinely don't know this... anyone?

As I said above, I'll be renewing my membership through gritted teeth because there really is no alternative.

However, I'm slightly irked to find an email in my inbox this morning titled: "[Gazurtoids] Renew your Membership for 2012/13 now..."

Maybe I'm less inclined to give LUFC the benefit of the doubt these days, and maybe it's little different to the "Hurry! Sale must end soon!" stuff of any other business, but I was instinctively irked by the demanding tone of the subject.

I'll renew if and when I'm bloody ready Ken, you cunt.

By which I mean to say: here are my card details... :(

I'm the same. Bates might rape me when it comes to buying tickets and membership but i wont buy anything else. I even park up in town and get the bus in just so i dont pay for parking.
I could possibly cope with shit football, but to think Bates is laughing all the way to the bank as i get mugged each time i set foot into Elland Road means i just dont enjoy the experience as much as i should.
I know its been all said before but felt the need for a rant!

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, and I'm probably not in the right thread,but....I was back in Leeds last week, having my little boy christened in my old church, and spent a couple of afternoons having a ramble round town.

Went into a few sports shops, and it still fucking amazes me that you can't but the Leeds kit in these shops, you have to go to the ground.Had a chat with one of the lads who works in one of the shops, and he was saying that he hates the fact that you can buy pretty much any other teams jerseys in the shop but not the Leeds one.

i'm sure it all makes sense in the pissed-stained world that Bates resides in,but it's fucking stupid to me.........................rant over
