Just got my ticket for this weekend of rock Wimped out of the camping this year, going to be staying in a nice rented house for the weekend so I can sleep, shower and shit in a toilet that doesnt stink so bad it makes you gag (well until I have been in it of course).

Still have weird vibs about the place after being in that mosh pit resulting 2 deaths when Guns n Roses appeared at the early MOR Donnington festival.

Chris Cornell & Journey are also on the line up & should not be missed..

Crue, if they don't self destruct, will be the highlight as they really have been tearing it up in the USA. Never mind 'the damned united' give us 'the Dirt' movie!

Might go but after going to proper arena's in the US the mud pits, watching dots on screens don't have the same appeal anymore..

I was at that show, it was raining so much that the whole field was just a mud bath and really fucking slippy. Not good at all.

I have seen Motorhead twice at Donington, as well as various other venues over the years, excellent band.

My step son went to Leeds festival last year and had a great time but this is definately more my type of line up. As I said given up on the camping bit though

I see no day passes? I'd definately go if I could get a Friday only ticket, but at this point dont fancy shelling our for full price ticket.. You sure you're not thinking of 1987 mate with Bon Jovi? I remember getting soaked at that one. I remember very well cos the fucking coach fucked off back to Leeds without me & my mate and we were covered in mud.

88 Was Maiden, Kiss etc when the GnR thing happened. It was nice weather I recall. The pictures say so!

These festivals have never appealed to me, whatever floats you boat I suppose but trudging through shit, surrounded by thousands of festering greasy smelly cunts isnt the way I'd choose to see live music.
