Just another point on soaps that i find quite strange,is that theres more wankastrians in Emmerdale farm than Corrie and more from yorkshire in Corrie than Emmerdale?

Just had to respond. Saw it and loved it. It's the only soap I watch.

Agree with Dale White though. They need to produce some better scripts because the last couple of months writing has gone down hill a bit. I will still watch though, if only for Corrie's one liners. They are genius.

Often the best one liners come from Blanch, Steve Mcdonald and Norris. Oh and Sally Webster. Just love the fact she thinks she's posh and tries to be well read and educated. Brilliant TV.

On another note I fucking hate Eastenders (every little thing about it), and haven't watched it for years.

it was the only thing i used to have on series link in our house, that and grand designs when it was on. i cut the leash on it a couple of months back. no great reason why apart from not bothering to watch the accumulating episodes. i dunno maybe it was that chubby comp winner forcing herself on norris in the holiday van. it seemed to be selling itself for laughs. they used to more subtle.

i liked percy, a proper limited misery guts. roy cropper is a bit of a hero - a real man of principle.

Dev as a character is a total cunt! Straight out of the 60/70s. Who writes his stuff, Disco Stu? In a cast of non entity actors (ever see a corrie past or present in owt else? Rare as dodo eggs) he stands head and shoulders above them. Or below them, whatever.

Norris is so fucking annoying. Why doesn't anyone EVER tell him to fuck off and then smack him?

I want to go live in Emmerdale, that everyday tale of Yorkshire folk. All you have to do is turn up in the village and you get a job and a house...don't even have to be an asylum seeker.

A pub with more staff than customers, a high class shop selling vastly overpriced items to passing trade and a few redundant pensioners. Oh, what passing trade? The odd cyclist or rambler? What do these people spend when passing through? £3-4 k each?

The garage is the best (yes the one owned by the sex offender or whatever). It's owned and run by a girl who has never been a mechanic, she employs half the village who are equally qualified, and there are only about 4 cars in the village...yet she's always busy.

As for drearyenders, well what can you say? Hide the sharp objects and lock the medicine chest. The Samaritans must be snowed under after every episode. How the fuck has it lasted so long?
