The Square Ball is a Leeds United Fanzine that has been running for over 20 years – The first issue featuring a young Vinnie Jones stood outside the Peacock Pub.
After the magazine stopped being produced at the end of the 2008/9 season it was decided on the forum that it would be a shame to let it end. After much discussion over content and funding, it was eventually relaunched for the opening game of the 2009/10 Season and featured an exlusive interview with Richard Naylor.
Since that first issue, featuring 28 black and white pages, the magazine has expanded to a full colour, 48 page publication. All for the same cost as when the magazine first began back in 1989 – £1.
2010 also saw the launch of The Square Ball Podcast which now attracts over 1,000 downloads every two weeks.
