Tyler Adams being brilliant for the USMNT at the World Cup

It’s testament to the job Tyler Adams has done that I don’t think we’ve missed Kalvin Phillips much this season. But this overlooks Kalvin’s other function of making me truly care about England. In an alternative universe we’re watching Phillips for the Three Lions, Raphinha for Brazil and Rodrigo de Paul losing against Saudi Arabia. Instead, Leeds interest involves watching Dan James trying and failing to play up front, again (I’m daring to write this ahead of England vs Wales). Bless him. Tyler Adams was good. Tyler Adams is always good, and I always thought Jude Bellingham should start ahead of Kalvin anyway. Honest, I did.
