It’s now over a year since Leeds United brought home a trophy. The glorious victory in the — one moment while I Google it — Trofeo Festa D’Elx, against Elche, marked the start of our season resuming after the World Cup break and was accompanied by the feeling that we should possibly be looking better after a month on the training pitch. Instead, we limped past some fairly turgid opposition who would ultimately finish twelve points adrift at the bottom of La Liga. Still, that trophy, eh?
