2019-20 | Issue 08

Our eighth issue of 2019/20, The Square Ball’s 30th season, was supposed to come out for the game at Elland Road against Barnsley on 18th April.

The world looks like a very different place than it did then, but one thing remains the same: Leeds are still top of the league.

And with the Championship season about to get back underway, we’re getting the eighth issue out now, because if we’re doing promotion this season, we’re doing everything and doing it properly.

As always our seven times-nominated and twice FSF Award winning fanzine includes lots of pages of articles and artwork about the pain and the glory, but mostly the pain, of being a Leeds United supporter, for 100 long, long years.

We’ve got lots about the lockdown and how Leeds have been better at it than anyone else, wondering what the players have been up to (and hacking into their diaries to find out), contemplating how much we miss football and how we’ve been feeling, and still being in love with Marcelo Bielsa.

We can’t sell it outside Elland Road, so we really appreciate you buying online. Orders before Wednesday 17th June are being sent out to arrive, hopefully, before Leeds kick-off again at Cardiff. But we were hoping Big Kev wouldn’t do his hamstring, so please bear with us on that.

Orders made from Wednesday 17th June may take a bit longer than usual to arrive due to coronavirus arrangements at our mailing house — we really appreciate you being patient while everything is weird.

If you want to try the digital version, that’s on sale now from this page.

Thanks for your support as always.
