This is TSB’s 31st season and we’re back in the Premier League, and staying there, and beating all the top teams in the process. Well, one of them. But Stuey sure showed them a thing or two.

We’re still hopeful might get to attend maybe one game this season, but good on the lads for making sure we’ll have another crack at the Premier League next season.

Until we can be back selling fanzines in the cold and rain — and yes we do mean in May — we’re asking for your support to continue, by buying the magazine online and pretending you handed some coins over to someone on the Lowfields.

The best way to buy The Square Ball is to subscribe and get every regular issue delivered to your home for the next twelve months.

That way we know how many to print, and we have the money up front to pay the printer. We’ll post anywhere in the world and you won’t miss an issue.

Starting this season, you can get £10 off a subscription to the paper magazine if you buy an annual subscription to TSB+, our digital bundle. TSB+ gets you all our podcasts advert free, early access to The Match Ball podcast, digital access to the magazine, a daily email, discounts and more — and that tenner off getting the paper version delivered.

There’s more information about subscriptions here, and our easy subscription builder will walk you through the process.

Our seventh issue of 2020/21 would have come out for the visit of Liverpool, on Monday 19th April. If that game is anything like the 1991 version, it’ll be quite something. And Lee Chapman will score a hat-trick, which feels unlikely at this stage of his career, but then without Van Dijk, how would Liverpool stop him?

You can buy our new issue here, and we’ll post it out as soon as it’s printed.

As always our eight times-nominated and two-times FSF Award winning fanzine (plus one for the podcast) includes lots of pages of articles and artwork about what used to be the pain but now is the glory of being a Leeds United supporter, for 100 long, long years.

This time we’ve got articles about Gaetano Berardi, grass, Dutch players, laughing at Derby County, laughing at Aston Villa, and loads more, including an interview with star striker of the early 1980s — until he decided he’d rather not — Aidan Butterworth.

You can order paper copies of issue seven from this page now, and they’ll be sent out after the Liverpool game. The digital pdf version is also on sale here now.

As Howard Wilkinson used to say, thank you for your magnificent support.
