TSB’s 32nd season is ready for the business end.

Our new issue six is going on sale when Tottenham turn up at Elland Road on Saturday 26th February 2022. You’ll be able to get a copy for yourself from our sellers outside the ground. And if you love the cover, by John Tregoning, see below (or click here now!) to find out about buying that as a print.

Getting the magazine delivered to your home is also a very good idea, as it will arrive free of beer stains and torn corners, unless your postie is having a bad morning.

The best way to buy The Square Ball is to subscribe and get every regular issue delivered to your home for the next twelve months.

That way we know how many to print, and we have the money up front to pay the printer. We’ll post anywhere in the world and you won’t miss an issue.

You can get £10 off a subscription to the paper magazine if you buy an annual subscription to TSB+, our digital bundle. TSB+ gets you all our podcasts advert free, early access and live streaming video of The Match Ball podcast, a digital sub to the magazine, a daily email, discounts and more — and that tenner off getting the paper version delivered.

There’s more information about subscriptions here, and our easy subscription builder will walk you through the process.

If you don’t want to subscribe — why not?! — you can buy our sixth issue of the season on its own right here, and we’ll post it out as soon as it’s printed.

As always our eight times-nominated and two-times FSF Award winning fanzine (plus one for the podcast) includes lots of pages of articles and artwork about what used to be the pain but now is the glory which also involves pain of being a Leeds United supporter, for more than 100 long, long years.

In this issue we’ve got a big feature by Rob Conlon, following a myth around the city of Leeds, the perfect place for people who want to be alone. We know that’s Marcelo Bielsa, being left alone to shop in Morrisons, but could we once have said the same about legendary hip-hop artist MF DOOM?

Speaking of legends, the magazine also includes articles on Jonny Howson and Yosuke Ideguchi, our place in the disciplinary table, Pascal Struijk, SeatGeek, Lewis Bate and much more.

The cover artwork from this issue, by John Tregoning, features Raphinha wearing the words of his reputation on his heart and soul. It’s available as a print here.

You can order paper copies of issue six from this page now, and they’ll be sent out after the Spurs game. The digital pdf version is also available to buy here now.

As Howard Wilkinson always used to say, thank you for your magnificent support.
