  • Our third issue of 2019/20, The Square Ball's 30th season, is an A5 full colour magazine, first on sale to help celebrate that other birthday, Leeds United's centenary, against Birmingham City on 19th October 2019. Order now and we'll post it to you as soon as it's printed. As always our seven times-nominated and twice FSF Award winning fanzine includes lots of pages of articles and artwork about the pain and the glory, but mostly the pain, of being a Leeds United supporter, for 100 long, long years. We're celebrating the big occasion with our own tribute — Marcelo Bielsa in a Flying Pizza cap is just the start of the time and culture clashing within, where you'll see Rod Wallace in a 1970s smiley badge kit alongside Gordon Hodgson, sharpshooter of the 1930s, in Admiral's 'vomit' strip from 1992/93. Plus features on Ian Snodin, Albert Saxton, sneaking in at Charlton, educating the kids of Manchester, and more. Want to buy the digital version instead? You can get that here very soon £1.50. [line]Have you considered a subscription? The digital sub starts at the equivalent of £1 per month and gets you access to 80+ digital editions of TSB from 2009 right up to the latest edition. If you're in the UK, you can purchase a paper subscription and get all eight issues delivered to your door. We also have Europe and Worldwide options. Read more about subscriptions here.[line]

  • The Sunday Times Bestseller! A new history written by The Square Ball's Daniel Chapman, aka Moscowhite, published by Icon Books in association with Leeds United to coincide with the club’s centenary celebrations. Copies bought from TSB will be personally signed and posted out by Daniel Chapman, with an option to include a unique dedication or message in the book. If you need a copy in a hurry or want it cheaper, the book is available from all good book stockists worldwide, including Amazon and Waterstones in the UK and Booktopia in Australia. If you ask your nearest bookshop anywhere in the world they should be able to order it in. Because of postage costs, this will be much cheaper than buying from here — but this is the only place to order one signed. GET A BARGAIN: Some copies have arrived from the warehouse with minor cosmetic damage to the cover or jacket — bent corners, small tears — and have not been sent out to customers. They're perfectly good readable books, though, so if you're not fussy, use the discount code damaged-goods on your order to receive £4.50 off, and I'll send you one of the less-than-perfect copies, signed and dedicated like all the others. (The odd discount price makes it easy for me to spot your request. If the code doesn't work, it's because I only have undamaged copies in stock.) 100 Years of Leeds United is a 456 page hardback book tells the story of a one-club city and its unique relationship with its football team. Since its foundation in 1919, Leeds United Football Club has known more ups and downs than most, rising to global fame through an inimitable and uncompromising style in the 1960s and clinching the last Division One title of the pre-Sky Sports era in 1992, before a spectacular fall from grace at the start of the 21st century. United remains one of the best supported – and most divisive – clubs in football, with supporters’ clubs dotted across the globe, all hoping for a return to the Premier League. In 100 Years of Leeds United, Daniel Chapman delves deep into the archives to discover the lesser-known episodes, providing fresh context to the folkloric tales that have shaped the club we know today, painting the definitive picture of the West Yorkshire giants.
